The trouble is with mum's is that you never stop being their little baby girl, I should know I'm 32 and said a swear word in front of my mum and she went bananas (I stubbed my toe). It will be fine I promise you and well done for being mature enough to use contraception. I went through the exact same thing at 17 with my mum so I know how you feel. I was bought up Catholic. Oh and by the way the bleeding is down to your hymen being broken due to for the first time. Some woman bleed a tiny bit, some a lot, others not at all because it stretched not broke all is normal.
