Remember that god tortured and slaughtered Job's family and friends to win a bar bet with satan. That god ordered the slaughter of innocent children of various enemies of the jews and personally slaughtered the innocent first born of Egypt. Christians silly enough to believe such things have no idea that "because god says so" is ignorant. They believe that right and wrong are arbitrarily based on what God says and while god changed over the centuries while the bible was being written, they think it was frozen in stone after Revelations was finished.
