While women have out performed men at colleges in recent times?

As measured by enrollment, GPA and ultimately the number of degrees. They still predominately obtain degrees in the Liberals arts. Unlike men who focus more on math, science and business (things that make the world go around). My point is I have read many articles on this subject. And they routinely leave this valuable point out. The article will often espouse about the disproportionate number of degrees women obtain over men, but they fail to mention that men are obtaining the meaningful and needed degrees. Why does the media do this?
